Alexis Mac Allister is celebrating a special occasion today and his partner Ailen Cova has sent him a heartwarming message to mark it. The Liverpool FC midfielder turns 27-years-old today, Wednesday December 24.

On Instagram, Ailen shared a picture of the Red kissing his daughter's head as she held her. She captioned the post: "Happy birthday daddy, we love you." To make the birthday celebration extra special, the room had been decorated with white balloons and huge helium "2" and "7" balloons.

Another photo shared by Ailen showed a long dinner table set, with name cards placed on each plate. At the end of the table were more decorations for Mac Allister's birthday. The couple, who have been together since 2022, welcomed a baby girl named Alaia on Sunday, September 22.

The Argentina international shared the news on social media, posting a touching black-and-white photo of himself and Ailen holding their newborn daughter.

In a heartfelt joint statement translated from Spanish, the footballer wrote: "Alaia – 22/09/2025. After 18 hours of suffering came the most beautiful and special moment of our lives."

He continued with a tribute to Ailen: "A paragraph just for you, my love. I’m proud of your strength and the love you showed to overcome this and give us the greatest gift in the world. I love you."

The couple are often pictured together and in recent months have had plenty to enjoy. In November, The Argentina international had a memorable night at Anfield as he helped his side beat Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Mac Allister headed home from a free-kick into the box from Dominik Szoboszlai in the 61st minute. Anfield was in full voice for a second tie between the two clubs in consecutive years, which saw the Reds clinch a 1-0 victory.

The evening was particularly special for the number 10 as his partner and child were in attendance to watch him score the winning goal. She shared a photo holding their baby girl to Instagram as she stood in the stands after kick off. She captioned the image: "First game we love you dad."

The Reds' midfielder shared the post to his own account as he simply wrote "para siempre", which translates to "forever". A separate photo uploaded by Mac Allister showed him holding his baby in one arm and his Champions League Man of the Match award in the other.

World Cup winner Mac Allister arrived at Liverpool FC in the summer of 2023 from Brighton and Hove Albion. The midfielder claimed the No. 10 shirt upon his arrival to Anfield, taking the squad number last taken by Sadio Mane after signing a long-term deal.
