Cooper Flagg turned 19 last weekend and the former Duke Blue Devil is well on his way to greatness in the NBA.
After a bit of a slow start as he played out of position at point guard, Flagg is back at forward and absolutely destroying the league. He’s averaging 18.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.2 steals, numbers most of the league would like to have ever averaged, and he had a 42 point game as an 18-year-old, which is just crazy.
As another sign of his arrival, Flagg had a ridiculous first half Tuesday night: in the first half against Denver, Flagg had 22 points on 9-10 from the floor.
He also had four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block.
He barely missed a triple-double, finishing with 33 points (14-21/4-6), nine rebounds and nine assists. What an amazing rookie season he’s having.
