Arsenal are among Premier League clubs reportedly ‘crazy’ about signing AC Milan defender Davide Bartesaghi, according to reports in Italy.
The Gunners have emerged as admirers of the left-back amid his breakout season in Serie A, with Bartesaghi enjoying an impressive campaign with the 19-time Italian champions.
Despite being only 19, Bartesaghi has become a key part of Massimiliano Allegri’s squad in recent months, starting nine of AC Milan’s last 10 league matches.
The Italy U21 international scored his first two goals for the Rossoneri in the 2-2 draw with Sassuolo earlier this month.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan view Bartesaghi as one of their key players for the future and are in a strong negotiating position if any Premier League clubs decide to press ahead with their interest.
The 19-year-old defender only signed a new long-term deal with the San Siro outfit in May, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2030.
Arsenal have reportedly been tracking Bartesaghi since the summer and are among the clubs staying alert to his situation in Italy.
A move to the Emirates would see the 19-year-old join forces with fellow Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori, who arrived from Serie A side Bologna last year.
Arsenal would likely need to sell one of their left-sided defenders if they were to sign Bartesaghi in the future, with Calafiori, Piero Hincapie and Myles Lewis-Skelly already among Mikel Arteta’s options.
Arsenal Set for Quiet January?
Mikel Arteta
Leading the Premier League table after 17 games, Arsenal are likely to be quiet in January after a busy summer transfer window that saw eight new players arrive.
The Gunners were the third-biggest spenders in the Premier League during the offseason and have no pressing need to splash out on another first-team-calibre signing, even considering their current injury concerns.
The Gunners have recently been missing Gabriel, Piero Hincapie, Ben White and Christhian Mosquera at the back, while Kai Havertz and Max Dowman have also been absent.
Another Rising Star on the Radar
Rodrigo Mendoza
As GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano previously revealed, Arsenal are among several clubs keeping a close eye on Elche midfielder Rodrigo Mendoza.
The Gunners are attracted by the 20-year-old talent’s £17m release clause and have sent scouts to watch the midfielder twice already this campaign, although a move does not appear imminent at the moment.
