Guehi receives 'very high offer'
Marc Guehi has received significant contract offers from Liverpool and Barcelona, according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
The report states that both clubs have promised 'very high' salaries in an attempt to secure his signature. Guehi will become a free agent at the end of the season, but will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club in January.
That would suggest that Barcelona hold an advantage over Liverpool, who must wait until the campaign concludes to finalise a deal.
Surprise £100m deal eyed
Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a blockbuster move for Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson, who has also been linked with Manchester United.
According to TEAMtalk, a deal would not come cheap with Forest demanding £100million in exchange for the 23-year-old's services.
The report adds that United remain interested in signing Anderson for themselves, while Newcastle are considering an effort to bring him back to St James' Park.
Gomez wanted by Milan
AC Milan are preparing to revisit a move for Joe Gomez after missing out on a deal in the summer, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.
The defender was lined up by the San Siro giants on deadline day but ended up staying at Liverpool after the Reds failed to sign Guehi.
The move could be revisited in the coming days, with Milan reportedly set to reopen talks ahead of the January window. It is claimed that Gomez would be keen on moving to the Italian heavyweights in order to play more regularly.
Striker target emerges
Liverpool are considering a swoop for Brentford marksman Igor Thiago in light of Alexander Isak's injury setback, which is expected to keep him out for several weeks.
That's according to CaughtOffside, who say Thiago features on a list of potential striker targets for the mid-season transfer window.
He has been in blistering form this season, bagging 11 league goals to make him the division's second-highest scorer behind only Erling Haaland.
