The first Christmas as a parent is a special occasion as it marks the start of family traditions and allows new parents to make wholesome memories. This year, Liverpool FC midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has reflected on his first Christmas as a dad.
The Dutchman was absent from the Liverpool squad that lost to Crystal Palace in the Community Shield in August, as the night before the match his partner had given birth to their first child. The Red and his partner Cindy Peroti shared the news their family had grown on social media, a message said: "Our little miracle has arrived", alongside a white heart emoji.
Cindy made the move to Merseyside with her long term partner after he joined the Reds in 2023, she shares regular insights into their relationship on social media. When Gravenberch joined Liverpool in August 2023, she shared a picture as the couple both held up a Liverpool shirt.
The couple have been together for more than seven years. In his latest Instagram post, Gravenberch posted a photo alongside his girlfriend as he held his daughter.
The post was captioned: "Her first Christmas and the greatest gift we could ever wish for. Merry Christmas!" Gravenberch's daughter wore a red outfit and a red bow in her hair on Christmas Eve.
Well wishes were sent to the family as they celebrate their first Christmas as a mum and dad. One reply said: "Merry Christmas Gravenberch, enjoy the night, family and God first." Another response was: "Merry Christmas Gravenberch family YNWA."
Other replies included: "Wishing you a merry Christmas" and "Merry Christmas Ryan! Wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful year ahead." Gravenberch has settled well into Arne Slot's side and is an important player for the reigning Premier League champions.
Cindy has shared several pictures watching Liverpool games from the stands but has been by his side throughout his career. The first snap she shared with the talented player was on the pitch at the Johan Cruyff Arena after Ajax had lifted the league title in 2022.

She shared snaps of the two together on the pitch alongside a medal emoji. Before they arrived on Merseyside, Cindy made the move to Munich with Gravenberch when he joined the German giants.
Gravenberch has made 20 appearances for Liverpool this season across all competitions. He has scored three goals and provided three assists. His spell at Liverpool took off from the beginning of last season, as a switch to a deeper-lying role in the midfield under new head coach Arne Slot suited him perfectly.
