Arsenal have included Club Brugge’s Aleksandar Stanković in their target list, according to L’Interista.
The midfielder joined the Jupiler Pro League side from Inter Milan in July and had quickly cemented his place. He played close to 2,200 minutes from 29 matches so far.
His constant growth and fine displays have seen a few clubs take notice and Arsenal are added to this list.
It’s claimed there’s ‘great interest’ from the Premier League side, and they are following the 20-year-old closely.
The Gunners appreciates the player’s profile and potential. The report adds they are well aware of the ‘benefit his presence’ could bring to their midfield.
Mikel Arteta’s side, however, would have to make a significant effort to try and secure his services. This isn’t because the Serbia international has a contract with Club Brugge until 2029.
Inter retain a buyback clause of €23m for next summer and the fee will rise to €25m in 2027. According to the report, the Serie A side have decided to exercise the clause after the end of this season.
Therefore, Arsenal have to offer significantly higher than €23m to convince the Nerazzurri to sell Stanković next summer.
Last month, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are keeping tabs on Stanković.
