Following the Warriors' Christmas Day win, Kerr dropped his "wish" for the former Dubs star.
It's been over a year already, but Steve Kerr candidly admitted that he still couldn't process the fact that Klay Thompson isn't a Warrior anymore.

Following Golden State's 126-116 victory on Christmas Day against the Dallas Mavericks, Kerr dropped touching words regarding his former Warriors star.
“I’ll never get used to seeing Klay on the other side. I miss Klay. Wish he was still here.”
Thursday night marked the return of Thompson to his old stomping ground, dropping seven points off the bench in a losing effort for the Mavericks.
After 13 seasons, Thompson notably left the Warriors last year by inking a three-year, $50 million contract via a six-team sign-and-trade deal. It served as an emotional departure for the entire Golden State franchise, as the 35-year-old has been a pillar of the Dubs dynasty alongside Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.
But nothing has changed tonight between Thompson and the Warriors. He still obtained a warm reception from the Chase Center crowd and approached both Green and Curry following the game.
Unfortunately, Warriors fans won't see Thompson returning in the Bay Area this regular season, as two of Golden State's next games against the Mavs will be played in Dallas.
But they can only hope that one day, a reunion will happen between the two.
