NBA champion goes off on JJ Redick after his bold Lakers criticism on Christmas

Former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins believes Lakers head coach JJ Redick has to do better as well, saying he always finds someone else to blame and that this is a problem.

Los Angeles Lakers suffered their third straight defeat on Christmas Day, falling to the Houston Rockets at home, 96–119.

After the game, Lakers head coach JJ Redick went off in the press conference, criticizing his players for their performance. He also called out some players, saying it can’t continue like this and stating that the team’s upcoming practice will be uncomfortable.

NBA champion and current ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins reacted to Redick’s postgame comments on SportsCenter.

He said Redick must do better as well in this situation, calling him out for always finding someone else to blame instead of himself.

“Everybody finds it cute and funny when he goes on his rants and publicly calls out his team, but JJ Redick gotta do better as well. It’s always everybody else’s fault, but not JJ Redick’s. That’s a problem for me,” Perkins stated.

With the loss on Christmas, the Lakers fell to a 19–10 record, good for fourth place currently in the Western Conference.
