Nikola Jokic is a three-time NBA MVP. Something like that doesn’t happen by fluke; he’s been the NBA’s best offensive player for years. The Denver Nuggets man has dealt with his excellence being normalized by this point. On Christmas, Jokic reminded NBA fans exactly why he can’t be taken for granted.
The Serbian led his team to a narrow OT win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Anthony Edwards was on fire and scored 44 points, but Jokic’s performance blew him out of the water. He posted a monster stat line with 56 points, 16 rebounds, and 15 assists, and fans could hardly believe it.

“Jokić turned Christmas Day into a video game cheat code,” one fan commented. “You can’t tell me this isn’t the greatest center of all time,” another fan said.
“The scary thing is that he can do this on just about every night, yet chooses not to,” a third fan observed. “We’re going to have to start having the Jokic vs Jordan debates,” said a fourth fan.

“One more ring and FMVP, he’s kicking someone in the top 10,” a fifth fan claimed. “I really hope everyone recognizes that we will never see greatness like this again,” wrote a sixth fan.
Putting up a statement performance like this on Christmas shows that Jokic is simply in a different dimension. The center has done things no one has ever done, but this might be his greatest performance ever. The Nuggets will feel like, as long as they have Jokic, a championship is more than possible.
