Liverpool scored some sensational goals across 2025 as they prepare to tick off another tumultuous year at the football club.
The Reds won the Premier League in style during the first half of the calendar year before succumbing to a difficult second six months.
Even at their very worst, Liverpool still entertained supporters with some brilliant strikes and despite their lowly status in the Premier League, have continued to score with regularity.

Amid those goals, some have stood out spectacularly. Who could forget Dominik Szoboszlai‘s sensational late winner against Arsenal, for example.
But was Szoboszlai’s the best goal of 2025 at Liverpool? Rousing The Kop has had a go at answering that question so you don’t have to. Here are the Reds top five goals of the past 12 months.
5. Ryan Gravenberch vs Everton, September
Rewind to September, and Liverpool had been looking good to retain their Premier League title.
The Reds’ season arguably peaked on September 20th, when Ryan Gravenberch hit a stunning on-the-bounce volley in the Merseyside Derby.

Running onto an excellent Mohamed Salah pass, the Dutchman contorted his body to fire across Jordan Pickford as the ball bounced up.
It was a sensational strike from Gravenberch, showing off his impeccable technique in the best possible way.
4. Diogo Jota vs Everton, April
While not the most aesthetically pleasing goal of this bunch, Diogo Jota‘s final effort of his tragically short life is one that will forever hold a place in every Liverpool supporter’s heart.
With the Reds under a little pressure to get a result at Anfield, the crowd were beginning to grow wary of more dropped points.

But then, up stepped Jota. After expertly nicking the ball back, the late No. 20 picked up Luis Diaz’s flick before weaving one way and then the next to fool the Everton defence.
His finish was as unerring as it was inevitable, and in securing a 1-0 Merseyside Derby win, Jota blew away any doubts that this was not Liverpool’s title. Though nobody could have imagined it at the time, it will always be a fitting way for Jota to sign off.
3. Alexis Mac Allister vs Fulham, April
Just days after Jota’s goal against Everton, Liverpool travelled to Fulham knowing that a win would put them on the verge of winning the league.
Unfortunately, the Reds put in a sloppy performance and eventually lost 3-2.
However, that did not stop Alexis Mac Allister from slamming home one of the best goals of the year just 14 minutes in.
Running onto a loose ball just inside the Fulham half, Mac Allister held off a challenge, drove forward 20 yards and unleashed a perfect strike into the far corner from the edge of the box.
2. Dominik Szoboszlai vs Arsenal, August
Szoboszlai’s free-kick strike to beat Arsenal in August may win many fans’ vote for goal of the season, but it doesn’t get ours here at RTK.
That does not take away from the brilliance of the goal, though. It was always going to take something special to beat the Gunners’ stingy defence, and as the game ticked into its final seven minutes, Szoboszlai provided it.

The Hungarian has been Liverpool’s talisman this season, and this was easily his best moment.
His strike from fully 30 yards could not have been more perfect. It even shaved the post as it flew past David Raya.
1. Alexis Mac Allister vs Tottenham, April
Although Szoboszlai may feel aggrieved, we think it’s only fair that the best goal of Liverpool’s year coincides with the greatest day of the past 12 months.
That came on April 27th as Liverpool secured the Premier League title with a brilliant 5-1 win over Tottenham.
The crowning moment of that perfect afternoon arrived via Mac Allister’s left boot, as he sent an absolute rocket beyond Guglielmo Vicario.
After taking control of a loose ball on the edge of the Spurs’ box, Liverpool’s No. 10 smashed home a shot no goalkeeper in the world could have saved. Putting the Reds 2-1 up on the day, the goal sent Anfield into party-mode and kicked off what will remain the best day of many supporters’ lives.
Mac Allister did that with a swish of his left foot, and for that, he deserves to take top spot here.
