Arne Slot says Cody Gakpo and Conor Bradley are in contention to return for Liverpool’s Premier League game against Wolves on Saturday.

Gakpo has missed Liverpool’s last three games due to a muscle injury he suffered in the 3-3 draw with Leeds United on December 6.

Bradley, meanwhile, was forced off at half time during the 2-1 win away to Tottenham last Saturday.

Liverpool, who have now won consecutive Premier League games for the first time since September, host Wolves at Anfield this weekend.

‘Conor will be 50-50,’ Slot said at his press conference on Tuesday.

‘He’s not training with us today, not tomorrow.

‘So Friday we will see exactly where he is, if he can be in the squad yes or no for the weekend.

‘Joe [Gomez] won’t be available. Wata [Endo] won’t be available. Cody, a bit similar to Conor.’

Slot also admitted he has been keen to give more rest to Florian Wirtz this month.

‘Another example of a player who has to play a lot,’ Slot said.

‘He’s adjusting better and better and better to the Premier League but in an ideal world maybe I could have rested him a little bit more.

‘But OK, he will be there for us again on Saturday.’
