Four attackers linked with January moves to Liverpool include 21-goal striker tearing up his league

Liverpool could be busy in the January transfer market and the attack is an area that could see reinforcements.

The Reds have not quite been themselves at the start of this season, although they have started to pick up in recent weeks.

Liverpool will still be eyeing up a move for the winter window, though, with the forward line where they could make additions.

There are plenty on the market too, and here are four attackers who have been linked with a switch to Anfield recently.

Antoine Semenyo

The most prominent name being linked with Liverpool is Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, with his £65m release clause a very attractive proposition.

Man City and Man United could be the frontrunners, though, meaning the Reds would have to move quickly if they are seriously interested.

He is exactly the type of player the Reds have been missing so far, with his pace and power something that would add a lot ahead of the second half of the season.

He has eight goals and three assists in the Premier League already as well, suggesting it is a bit of a no-brainer.

Yakuba Minteh

Another player who has been rumoured is Brighton’s Yakuba Minteh, with the Gambian already being managed by Arne Slot during his time at Feyenoord.

Minteh is a bright young talent who causes most defences problems due to his pace, again something Liverpool have been missing.

His idol is Sadio Mane too, another good sign for the Reds if they are to make a move, although this feels more like one that would happen in the summer if it was to at all.

Franculino Dju

Franculino Dju is a name that not too many fans will have heard of, but a number of top clubs are vying for his signature.

Liverpool are said to be ‘very interested’ in Dju, with the 21-year-old already scoring 21 goals for Midtjylland in the Danish league.

The Guinea-Bissau international is also wanted by Bayern Munich and is valued between £22m and £26m, suggesting he would be a good cheap option to bring in this winter.

He might be young but he has certainly been consistent since getting his chance with the first-team, so he is one to keep an eye on.

Yan Diomande

Last but certainly not least, RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande has also been linked with a move to Anfield, and he might just be the best of the lot.

The 19-year-old is a versatile forward able to operate on both flanks, although he mainly operates off the left.

He has six goals and two assists in the Bundesliga this season, with the Ivorian currently at the African Cup of Nations.

He would be very expensive, though, costing in the region of €100m (£87m), with this potentially rising depending on how he gets on at AFCON.
