Victor Lindelöf looked ahead to the clash with **Chelsea**on the weekend for Aston Villa.
A deadline day summer signing, the Swede started in the Premier League for the first time as a part of his new side against West Ham. Having also played against his old club **Man United**in a 2-1 win last weekend, he feels like a growing part of a group that is on a sensational streak of victories.
“It’s obviously a great team with great individual players. I think they also have been performing some great football. So, it’s going to be a tough one. We have to make sure we’re ready and we have to be at the top, top level. If not, they’re going to make it difficult for us.
*“But it’s always fun to play against Chelsea. It’s a big game against a big team and you always want to play well and perform in those big games. Growing up, playing football, you wanted to play against the best teams, the best players. To have the opportunity to do it every week, you have to enjoy it and just try and take that opportunity and go out there and express yourselves in the best way possible.*
“Everyone is ready for the task. It’s going to be very, very tricky, but we take one game at a time, start with that, hopefully get three points, and we can focus on the next challenge. I’m enjoying myself and it’s great to be here. I’ve been playing lately, which is nice, to be able to help the team on the pitch.
“We’ve been performing great and obviously winning a lot of games which is super important for us.
“We’ve been able to perform so well during this period of time and obviously been able to find a way to win games when we haven’t performed at the top, top level. We still have found a way to score goals and get the three points, which shows strength as well.
“Looking at the players that we have and the football we’ve been playing so far, we have high expectations from ourselves and I think we can try and go a little bit more.”
