Milwaukee Bucks: Kevin Porter Jr. and Giannis Antetokounmpo 2 of 6 NBA players to achieve this…

The Milwaukee Bucks are just 12-18 on the season thus far, and are currently trailing the Memphis Grizzlies 60-50 at halftime of their Saturday night game. Indeed, it has been a rather difficult season for the Bucks, who have had to deal with trade rumors and speculation regarding their star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, since before the year began.

Despite these rumors, though, Milwaukee appears determined to weather the storm and retain their two-time NBA MVP this season, and hopefully beyond. In order to do so, of course, they need to start winning games, something that will be easier to do when he returns from injury.

Instead of entertaining trades for Giannis, the Bucks are hoping to add better talent around him. They have several players already that fit well alongside the nine-time All-Star, but other pieces are needed.

One player that has thrived since joining Milwaukee is Kevin Porter Jr., who has joined the Greek Freak in exclusive company this season.

Giannis has, over the last several years, constructed a reputation for being a player who scores a lot of points while also shooting at a high field goal percentage. He remains the only player in NBA history to average 30 or more points while shooting 60% or better from the floor, and he has done it twice.

This season, there are just six players in the NBA who are averaging 20 or more points per game while also having a true shooting percentage of 64% or higher. Giannis and Porter are two of them:

As one can see, the other four players are Nikola Jokic, Steph Curry, SGA, and Austin Reaves.

Porter is averaging career highs in points per game (20.4) and assists (7.5) and is shooting 44/36/84 from the floor. He also has a true shooting percentage of 64.9%, which is, by far, his career high.

Giannis, meanwhile, is averaging 28.9 points and 10.1 rebounds per game while shooting 64/44/64 from the field. He has a true shooting percentage of 66.9% in 17 games played.
