The agent of Liverpool transfer target Yankuba Minteh says Brighton may sell the Gambian international for a sky-high transfer fee.
Bakary Bojang was asked whether the winger was worth his reported €80m (£70m) valuation, but he said there is a chance that the Seagulls would want “even more” than that:
“Well, it’s difficult for me to say. Like I said, the value will be determined by what clubs are willing to pay.”

“But I believe Brighton value him that high. So, if a club will buy him, they pay that amount or even more.”
Minteh is said be on Richard Hughes’s list of targets
Back at the start of November, a report from the Middle East suggested that the 21-year-old was among three wingers that the Reds are interested in, along with Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon and Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo.
Bojang was asked directly about the rumour at the time, and he did not deny that Minteh is an “ambitious” player, who is keen on testing himself at the highest level.
Those remarks were reiterated in the agent’s most recent interview, where he stated that “bigger clubs [than Brighton] are interested” in the winger.
Are Liverpool looking to sign a winger?
The Reds have made more than one enquiry for Semenyo in recent weeks, but it looks as though the Ghanaian will be off to Manchester City, unless Arne Slot‘s side make a last-ditch attempt to hijack the deal.
In terms of a move for Gordon, that interest is longstanding, with the Merseysiders having attempted to recruit him in the summer of 2024.
The Minteh links are more recent, but they do make sense when you consider who he could potentially be replacing. Mo Salah’s long-term future is up in the air. While the Egyptian may not leave Anfield in January, a departure next summer is a distinct possibility, and Minteh may be targeted as his successor.
