The Golden State Warriors are reportedly exploring a trade to acquire Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis this season.
The Golden State Warriors are reportedly actively looking for ways to improve their team this season, and they have been considering some big-name targets.
Dallas Mavericks / Schedule
According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, the Warriors are exploring the possibility of acquiring Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis in the trade market.
For now, however, Dallas has not been intrigued by what Golden State might potentially offer, and for the move to be seriously considered, it would most likely require another team to be involved.
"[The Warriors are] contemplating making a case to acquire Anthony Davis as well. Dallas was not that fascinated with what Golden State has on its books," Haynes reports. "They would likely have to acquire some more assets or involve another team."
This season, Davis has been battling injuries, though he has still provided elite play on both ends of the court when healthy.
In 16 appearances this season, the 32-year-old Davis is averaging 20.5 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in around 30 minutes per game.
