With the January window fast approaching the Blues have inevitably been linked with a number of players, but Chelsea will reportedly be quiet next month.

Chelsea seem to be frequently getting linked with midfielders, and it’s believed the Blues are looking to sign one to ease the burden on Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.
The Blues have been linked with Dutch youngster Kees Smit as well as 18-year-old Marseille star Darryl Bakola, but neither are likely to arrive in January.

Midfield is reportedly the priority for next summer given Romeo Lavia’s injury issues, and TEAMtalk have reported the Blues are closely monitoring Pavlovic.
The report adds Chelsea along with Manchester City have been doing a lot of work on Pavlovic, with analytics teams at both clubs believing the 21-year-old could potentially be the next top midfielder to emerge.
TEAMtalk add it could take up to £100m to convince Bayern to part ways, in what would potentially be a club record sale for the German Champions.
Romeo Lavia future uncertain?
It remains to be seen if Chelsea are looking for additional depth, or to replace one of the current crop of midfielders.
The Blues also have Dario Essugo and Andrey Santos, whilst Reece James has proven he’s capable of playing in the middle of the park.

Adding another midfielder wouldn’t appear to make much sense, and Lavia given his injury issues would be the mist obvious candidate to make way.
However, Andrey Santos has attracted interest from clubs, and the Blues opting to cash in on the Brazilian can’t be fully ruled out.
