Arsenal still interested in Rodrygo

Arsenal are still interested in signing Brazilian winger Rodrygo from Real Madrid.

The Gunners were previously linked with the player who had grown unhappy with his lack of first-team opportunities under Carlo Ancelotti.

Although he has got more minutes under his successor Xabi Alonso, his long-term future may not be at the Bernabeu.

However, it is unlikely that Real, who have endured a spate of injuries this season, would consider letting him leave in the January window, but might be prepared to listen ot offers at the end of the season.

Whilst offering a goal threat himself, it is the chances that he creates for others that make him a potential asset for Mikel Arteta’s team, who need to score more goals. All three of their last goals at the Emirates have all been scored by opposition players.

In terms of price, Real valued him at around ₤78 million earlier this year, although with the player one more year into his current contract, that may have dropped by the time of the summer transfer window.
