Is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing vs. Bulls on Saturday? Status revealed

Bucks expect Giannis Antetokounmpo to return from a right calf strain and play on Saturday vs. Bulls.

The Milwaukee Bucks expect their superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to finally return to the court on Saturday against the Chicago Bulls, according to The Athletic.

Although his status to play against the Bulls is not yet officially confirmed, Antetokounmpo will still need to clear the pregame tests required by the Bucks’ training staff to be cleared for action.

Giannis missed the last seven games with a calf injury that he suffered in a game against the Detroit Pistons on December 3.

When speaking with reporters on Dec. 18, Antetokounmpo revealed he had suffered a right soleus strain. That same injury on his left calf ended his 2023-24 campaign and kept him from participating in the Bucks’ first-round loss to the Indiana Pacers that postseason.

This season, Antetokounmpo has averaged 28.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in 29.1 minutes per game.

The Bucks are currently 11th in the Eastern Conference with a 12-19 record, three wins behind the Hawks, who are 10th with a 15-17 record.

Without Giannis on the court, the Bucks are 2-12, while with him, they have won 10 games and suffered 7 losses.
