The FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has been one of the more notable signings the Catalan club has made in the last few years. The Pole joined the Blaugrana club back in the summer of 2024, and there is no doubt that his signing has been a success for both the player and the club.
The Polish veteran continued to showcase his scoring abilities after moving from Germany to Spain, but there have been some other notable events from his stay at Barcelona as well. The journalist had claimed in the book that the Blaugranes had requested the striker to curb his goalscoring numbers to avoid paying a bonus to Bayern Munich that was stipulated in the agreement between the two clubs for Lewandowski’s transfer.

“**There are things I don’t want to talk about. I have great respect for FC Barcelona and for the people who work there. I was aware of the club’s situation.**”
“**There were many other situations that had to be resolved for the good of the club. It was about a bonus, and it’s known that at that time FC Barcelona was watching every euro.**”
However, the veteran striker made it clear that this situation did not affect him a lot professionally:
“**For me, nothing changed. I have no problem with it, although it stayed in my mind and at some point I did think about it.**”
It is good to get a clarification on the matter from Robert Lewandowski himself, and this episode only goes on to show the good relationship that the Pole has had with Barcelona since his arrival.
