Enzo Maresca will be without four players for Chelsea’s clash with Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.

The Premier League game, which kicks off at 5.30pm, pits fourth-placed Chelsea against Villa in third and the Italian knows a defeat for his side would see them slip ten points behind with the season approaching the midway mark.

Blues star Cole Palmer should be fit for the entire match, as Maresca confirmed earlier this week that his recovery from groin and foot injuries has been successful. Liam Delap and Estevao are also available.

However, several of his colleagues will be absent from the fixture as they continue their recovery.

Levi Colwill

The defender is expected to sit out the rest of the season as a result of an ACL injury sustained during pre-season.

Mykhailo Mudryk

Provisionally suspended by the FA after an adverse finding in a routine urine test. He has not played for the club, nor his nation of Ukraine, since last November.

Romeo Lavia

Sidelined with a muscular injury, and is not expected to return to playing until the new year.

Dario Essugo

Maresca explained earlier this month that he had suffered a setback with regard to his recovery from a thigh injury. Expected to miss Saturday's clash with Villa.

For Villa, Unai Emery will be without Ross Barkley, Evann Guessand, Pau Torres and Tyrone Mings, all of whom are recovering from injury.

However, Jadon Sancho is available again after being ineligible to face Manchester United and Harvey Elliott is back in training.
