Anthony Davis is listed as questionable for the upcoming game against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday, although he’s most likely to sit out the next couple of games with a minor groin strain.
Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis suffered an injury setback in the last game on Christmas Day against the Golden State Warriors.
Dallas Mavericks / Schedule
During the second quarter of a 116–126 loss on Christmas, he pulled up after attempting to sprint to catch a hit-ahead pass in transition and immediately limped to the bench, asking for a substitution. He was later ruled out at halftime due to right groin spasms.
Although the Mavericks have officially listed Davis as questionable for the upcoming game against the Sacramento Kings with right adductor soreness—giving hope to fans that he might suit up on Saturday—he is most likely to skip the next couple of games.
According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Davis is expected to miss the next couple of games and will be evaluated daily, as the Mavericks have taken a cautious approach with injuries, specifically with Davis this season, and will continue to do so.
