Real Madrid attacker Brahim Diaz scored his second goal of the African Cup of Nations in Morocco’s 1-1 draw against Mali. Brahim gave Morocco the lead from the penalty spot, but Mali found an equalizer in the second half, preventing Morocco from securing what should have been a manageable win.
Morocco will now have to clinch their presence in the next round of the tournament on their third game of the Group Stage against Zambia. Given that they are one of the favorites to conquer this edition of the African Cup of Nations, Morocco’s two performances have been somewhat disappointing, but they will have time to bounce back and prove that they can compete for the title.
