Former Blue Devil Cooper Flagg continues to dazzle as he continues his first circuit around the NBA. On Christmas Day, the Dallas Mavericks played at Golden State and Flagg again showed his unusually advanced game. He finished with 27 points (13-21/1-3), 6 rebounds, 5 assists and a block.
He got a positive review from future Hall of Famer Stephen Curry, who said this: “Just a true hooper, a competitor. You forget how young he is, just his presence out there on the court. The future is bright. I’m glad he got this experience his first year to understand what the bright lights feel like. The league is in good hands.”
Draymond Green had high praise too, saying this: “I think Cooper Flagg is a stud. One thing I can appreciate about him is that he does it on both ends of the floor. He’s figuring it out offensively, how to get to his spots. And then defensively, he’s to be reckoned with on the defensive side of the ball. I think Dallas got a bright future with Cooper Flagg, and it’s been impressive to see. Some guys, it takes 20, 30, 40 games until you start seeing it. It took him about 10 games, and you’ve seen him round into form and playing great basketball.”
