Liverpool team confirmed to face Wolves in the Premier League at Anfied.
Federico Chiesa makes his first Premier League start of the season as Liverpool face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.
The Reds are depleted of options, with Alexander Isak (broken leg) absent through injury while Mo Salah is representing Egypt at the African Cup of Nations. In addition, the versatile Dominik Szoboszlai has to serve a one-match suspension for an accumulation of yellow cards.
Therefore, Chiesa is handed an opportunity to impress, while it is only his second league start since joining Liverpool from Juventus in August 2024.
In total, head coach Arne Slot makes two changes from last weekend’s 2-1 win at Tottenham, with Chiesa coming in for Isak, who is set to be unavailable for at least a couple of months.
Conor Bradley had to come off at half-time against Spurs and he is not available to face Wolves. Jeremie Frimpong, who returned from a hamstring injury at Tottenham, comes in. He makes his first league start since August. Bradley is fit enough to be on the bench.
Meanwhile, Ibrahima Konate is fit enough to retain his place, having been missing from training earlier this week.
Cody Gakpo is back among the substitutes after recovering from a muscle issue. Joe Gomez (muscle), Wataru Endo (ankle) and Giovanni Leoni (ACL) remain sidelined.
Liverpool: Alisson, Van Dijk, Konate, Kerkez, Wirtz, Mac Allister, Chiesa, Jones, Ekitike, Frimpong, Gravenberch.
Subs: Mamardashvili, Woodman, Bradley, Gakpo, Robertson, Nyoni, Ramsay, Ngumoha, Lucky.
