Chris Paul’s next NBA destination remains uncertain as the Clippers and league sources work through options. Insiders say a decision might not come until the February 5 trade deadline.
Chris Paul’s next stop in the NBA remains uncertain as the Los Angeles Clippers and league sources continue to weigh options for the veteran point guard, per Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.
Los Angeles Clippers / Schedule
While Paul is still officially on the Los Angeles roster, insiders say there is currently no immediate solution for where he will land.
League sources indicate that Paul might not have a new team until closer to the February 5 trade deadline, making that date a key milestone in determining the final chapter of his career.
One scenario being considered is that Paul could be included in a larger Clippers trade and then waived by the receiving team, giving him the chance to choose his last NBA destination as a free agent.

Paul signed a one-year, $3.6 million deal with the Clippers this offseason and has already announced his plans to retire after this season.
His role this year has been limited, averaging 14.3 minutes, 2.9 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists over 16 games.
