Enzo Maresca has picked a starting XI fit for the occasion, as Chelsea look at full strength for a crucial clash with Aston Villa.
It’s a battle between third and fourth in the Premier League, and a long-awaited return to Chelsea action after the Christmas break.
Maresca had an Estevao Willian decision to make after he returned from injury, and there were a couple of other question marks ahead of team news.

Here’s how the Italian has lined up to take on Unai Emery at Stamford Bridge.
Confirmed Chelsea XI vs Aston Villa
Aston Villa haven’t failed to win a game of football since November 1st.
If Chelsea are to break that streak, it will require a top performance.
Maresca has opted for a defesively solid lineup, and one quite similar to the draw at St James’ Park last week.
Estevao is left out while Benoit Badiashile is the most surprising change. Wesley Fofana gives up his usual spot, but is fit enough to make the bench. That could be a decision we look back on after the full-time whistle, with Badiashile not the most convincing this season.

Enzo Maresca banned from the Chelsea dugout yet again
Maresca was booked against Newcastle last week, and is suspended for the second time this season.
Ahead of the tie, he was asked whether he is worried about his absence.

As Football London report, he said: “In almost 100 games. I’ve been suspended three times. One for celebration, and two times for yellow cards.
“So yeah, unfortunately, I will be on the stand, but Willy [Caballero] is there, Danny [Walker] is there, the coaching staff is there.”
It’s certainly not ideal that he’s missing such an important clash, but Chelsea will have to put their best foot forward, even with their manager only able to watch from the stands.
