A first half goal from Martin Odegaard and a second half own goal from Georgino Rutter put Arsenal 2-0 up against Brighton this afternoon, but when Diego Gomez pulled one back, the last quarter of the game felt all too familiar and a bit scary.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal can go from thoroughly convincing to thoroughly unconvincing in a heartbeat, playing too long and too often on a knife edge. Then again, if our finishing had been better – with some big misses – this wouldn’t have been as tight.
In the end though, another three points and we’re back on top!
