Heat again without Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro on Saturday vs. Pacers

The Miami Heat will again be without starters Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro for Saturday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers at Kaseya Center.

Herro will miss his seventh straight game and his ninth game in the last 10 games with a right big toe contusion when the Heat hosts the Pacers on Saturday (8 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network Sun and WPLG Local 10). Herro has now missed 26 of the Heat’s first 32 games, as he also was sidelined for the first 17 games of the season because of offseason left ankle surgery

In addition, Adebayo will sit out his second straight game because of lower back soreness. It marks the eighth game that Adebayo has missed this season, as he also was unavailable for six straight games in November because of a left big toe sprain.

The Heat, which defeated the Hawks 126-111 on Friday night in Atlanta, also ruled out Vlad Goldin (G League), Terry Rozier (not with team) and Jahmir Young (G League) for Saturday’s game against the Pacers. But Miami is expected to have the rest of its roster available on the second night of the back-to-back set.

The Pacers will be without Tyrese Haliburton (torn right Achilles tendon), Isaiah Jackson (concussion), T.J. McConnell (right hamstring soreness), Ben Sheppard (left calf strain) and Obi Toppin (right foot stress fracture) against the Heat. In addition, Aaron Nesmith is listed as questionable because of a left knee MCL sprain.

After defeating the Hawks on Friday, a victory over the Pacers on Saturday would give the Heat consecutive wins for the first time in a month. Miami (16-15) is just 3-8 in December.

The Pacers also are playing on the second night of a back-to-back on Saturday after falling to the Boston Celtics 140-122 in Indianapolis on Friday night. The Pacers have lost seven straight games and enter Saturday’s game in Miami with the league’s worst record at 6-25 this season.
