Mixed reactions have continued to trail the United States of America, US and Nigeria’s recent joint attack on Islamic terrorists’ enclaves in Sokoto state with the latest coming from the former chairman of Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Idemili branch, Barr. Morris Efobi.
Reacting to the attack, Efobi described it as a welcome development, adding that there would not have been reactions, maintaining that those who condemn the attack against the terrorists means they welcome evils.
His words “It is like a lawyer who goes to the court and tells the court to grant him an order for an injunction restraining some group of people from doing certain thing, something that is against the law, not even civil right and court grants it and people will begin to make noise, why?.
“There has been killings in Nigeria, making everyone to be uncomfortable.
These terrorists/bandits even kill people as if they are not human beings. Why must some people raise eyebrow when these terrorists kill people irrespective of what the person is, whether Muslims, Christians, anyone they see.
“So will everyone not be happy that US in collaboration with Nigeria, is attacking them to curtail their excesses.
I have to commend US and Federal Government of Nigeria for doing a good job. It is long over due.
“People are crying, seeking for Messiah somewhere and the Messiah refused to come .
Now that the Messiah has come people have the guts to say why the attack on terrorists.
“They are killing innocent people, what Nigerian government is doing is to bring everlasting peace to Nigeria.
If the attack on terrorists is not done, one day Nigeria will fly away.
“I advise Nigerians to persevere because for years now, no festivities are enjoyed as it used to be because of violence everywhere caused by terrorists,” he stated.
