Terrence Shannon Jr. diagnoised with anabductor hallucis strain; will be re-evaluated in 2 weeks

The Timberwolves might not see Terrence Shannon Jr. for a few weeks after he sustained an injury against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday.

Shannon underwent an MRI after he had to exit a game earlier this week when he began experiencing soreness in his left foot. The MRI revealed he had sustained a left foot abductor hallucis strain.

The Timberwolves did not say how long the injury might keep him off the court, but did say he would be re-evaluated in two weeks.

It’s the second time this year Shannon has had to deal with a left foot injury. The guard previously sustained a bone bruise on his left foot, which sidelined him earlier in November.

For their next game, the Timberwolves host the Brooklyn Nets at 7 p.m. Saturday
