Phoenix Suns center Mark Williams was ejected during Saturday’s 123-114 win against the New Orleans Pelicans following a fight with Jose Alvarado.
In the final minutes of the third quarter, Alvarado was guarding Williams when he was called for a foul. Following the call, Alvarado instigated the altercation and a dustup ensued with both throwing punches.

As Alvarado headed straight to the locker room following the altercation, both players were tossed from the game following a review.
Prior to the ejection, Williams scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 11 minutes played. Saturday’s game marked the first time he had played in back-to-back games this season.
Despite the ejection, the Suns were able to get the win against the Pelicans as Devin Booker led the Suns with 20 points. Oso Ighodaro stepped up in Williams’ absence as he scored eight points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 29 minutes played.
