It does seem that it is only a matter of time before Manchester City signs Bournemouth’s star winger Antoine Semenyo. Semenyo’s £65 million release clause expires on January 10. There is nothing to be gained from City not completing the signing of Semenyo in a timely manner. Semenyo wants to move to City, City needs Semenyo and Bournemouth will need time to sign a replacement for their star man.
Antoine Semenyo wants his move to Manchester City completed as quickly as possible.
Sami Mokbel has reported for the BBC that Antoine Semenyo wants his move to Manchester City completed as quickly as possible. Mokbel adds that Semenyo’s ideal scenario would be to sign for City on January 1st. It is also reported by Mokbel that Bournemouth want to keep Semenyo until January 10th as they navigate a busy section of the schedule. But that scenario does seem unlikely. Semenyo is eager to join Pep Guardiola’s squad to compete for trophies as per Sami Mokbel’s report. Mokbel adds that the opportunity to sign for City is a rare one for Semenyo and he is eager to take up the opportunity on offer.

It looks to only be a matter of time before Semenyo lands at the Etihad.
It is hard to see Antoine Semenyo’s potential move to Manchester City dragging on. The release clause that must be activated by January 10 does play into Manchester City’s hands. They can quickly activate the release clause and the need for any lengthy transfer negotiations with Bournemouth is eliminated. It seems that it is only a matter of time before City do so.
The other positive news from Sami Mokbel’s report is how eager Semenyo is to become a member of Pep Guardiola’s squad. This illustrates that Semenyo wants to quickly get to work at City. There is a clear role for Semenyo in Pep Guardiola’s squad. He can immediately slot in on either wing for Manchester City. His power, physicality and goalscoring ability will tremendously boost Manchester City’s attack. The Ghana international seems to be eager to become a Manchester City player.
Antoine Semenyo wants to join Manchester City as quickly as possible. It does appear that he will get his wish. Barring anything spectacular occurring, City will activate Semenyo’s release clause and he will become a City player in the near future.
