Florian Wirtz was the clear standout figure for Liverpool in their 2-1 win over Wolves, but who got the second-highest rating?
The Reds battled their way to victory at Anfield on Saturday afternoon, with Wirtz scoring his first-ever goal for the club.
Here we compare our player ratings with those of the Liverpool Echo, GOAL and the TIA readers.
Wirtz (8.63) is improving by the week and he stood out as easily Liverpool’s best player.
The German bagged his first goal but also shone in all facets of his game, from technique to defensive work.
Matthew Judge of GOAL described it as a “fantastic performance” from Wirtz, who showed “terrific composure” to put the Reds 2-0 up.

Jeremie Frimpong (7.45) produced arguably his best display yet for Liverpool, registering an assist after a surging run and cut-back to Ryan Gravenberch (7.33).
Ian Doyle of the Echo pointed out that the right-back “provided pace from deep,” while This Is Anfield‘s James Nalton said it was a “good sign” that he looked strong fitness-wise.
Ibrahima Konate (5.13) scored lowest for Liverpool, but in fairness he was generally solid.
What the stats say
According to FotMob, Wirtz also shone brightest statistically, earning a nine-out-of-10 rating.
The 22-year-old created the most chances (three), with his quality in tight areas catching the eye throughout.
Wirtz also completed the most dribbles (7/8), with Frimpong (2/2) and Milos Kerkez (2/3) well behind in joint-second place.

Curtis Jones has had more memorable performances for Liverpool, but he put in an admirable shift, making an outstanding 18 defensive contributions – more than any other player.
That included 15 recoveries, showing how much he has matured since his more flamboyant academy days.
As well as his assist for Gravenberch, Frimpong won all four of his ground duels.
