Schools such as Kentucky, Michigan, BYU, Kansas, Washington, Texas Tech, Florida, USC, LSU, SMU, Indiana, and Clemson have all reportedly shown interest.

Flowers, a 2023 class prospect, initially committed to Louisville. After spending part of the summer with the Cardinals, he decided to forgo college and pursue a professional path, signing with the Adelaide 36ers in Australia's NBL.

He went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft but later signed a two-way deal with the Los Angeles Clippers. Flowers appeared in six NBA games with the LA team while spending most of the season in the G League.

He was eventually waived and signed a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls in October 2025.

This season, the 20-year-old wing has appeared in two NBA games, averaging 2.0 points in 3.0 minutes per game. In total, he has played 30 G League games split between the Windy City Bulls and San Diego Clippers.

With the NCAA recently allowing certain former G League players to regain college eligibility, some programs have begun exploring opportunities with players on NBA two-way contracts, including Flowers.

While the NCAA has cleared several G League players who initially skipped college, a player like Flowers—who has logged actual NBA minutes—has not yet been granted eligibility.

Still, the possibility no longer seems far-fetched, given the NCAA's increasing flexibility, exemplified by Baylor's recent signing of former NBA Draft pick James Nnaji.
