However, it should be a happy Christmas for West Ham fans, as since Potter was sacked and Nuno Espirito Santo was appointed, things have improved. Hammers fans will hope their side can build on their start to the season to survive relegation.

West Ham’s season so far
As mentioned, West Ham started very badly in the Premier League. They lost their first two games against Sunderland and Chelsea with a combined score of 8-1 in two matches. Things didn’t really improve under Potter either, as the West Ham boss was sacked after a 3-0 defeat to Tottenham in September.
Nuno was appointed as Potter’s replacement as the former Wolves boss was sacked by Nottingham Forest early on in the season. Since Nuno’s arrival at the London Stadium, things have looked more positive, as the Hammers did manage to catch up to some of the teams ahead of them in the table.
In November, they recorded consecutive wins against Newcastle and Burnley, but after that, the Hammers have managed no wins in their following five matches, and slipped back down into the relegation zone. January is set to be crucial for the Hammers.
Will West Ham do much in the transfer window?
Another thing that the Christmas period brings, is ramped up transfer rumours, as West Ham prepare to enter the January window, hoping to strengthen their squad even more. Seeing as they failed to add many players in the summer, it should be a busy window for West Ham.
The Hammers are likely to sign a striker to help out with goal soring. Man United star Joshua Zirkzee has been linked with a move to London, but West Ham have also been linked to the likes of Haji Wright and Josh Sargeant, who are both on fire in the Championship this season.
Furthermore, West Ham have also been backed to add some veteran presence, with Raheem Sterling a potential target for the Hammers, as the English forward is now an outcast at Chelsea.
Even so, everyone at Hammers Headlines would like to wish West Ham fans a very happy holidays, and let’s hope that Nuno can work his magic, and keep the Hammers in the Premier League.
