John Terry dismisses Championship links
John Terry has insisted he is not considering a move to Pompey’s relegation rivals Oxford United.
However, the 45-year-old, who currently works in the academy at Stamford Bridge, has taken to social media to shut down any links to the Championship job.
In a video posted on his TikTok, Terry said: ‘I'm not sure where these rumours come from. I’m certainly not on the lookout for a job.
‘I’ve spoken about how much I love my role at Chelsea, in the academy working with the players in the progression from the youth team, to reserves, to the first team.
‘Certainly not approached Oxford, not spoken to anybody at all. So just want to completely rule myself out of it.
‘I wish Oxford and whoever goes in as manager all the best. But it certainly won't be me.’
Oxford moved above Pompey in the Championship standings on Boxing Day after a 2-1 win over Southampton, which lifted them out of the bottom three.
