Porter is considered one of the top trade targets in this market, especially given the improvement he has shown this season.

ESPN analyst and former NBA player Tim Legler says Michael Porter Jr. has “completely changed” his trade value compared to previous years, with many playoff teams now viewing him as a valuable addition who can provide a significant scoring boost.

“I really believe, just based on conversations I’m having, that the guy’s completely changed his trade status,” Legler said on The Bill Simmons Podcast.

“In terms of attractiveness to teams, I think people thought they knew what Michael Porter was. The fact that he can perform like this offensively… I do think now there are probably more teams, especially middle-of-the-road playoff teams, who would look at him and say, ‘Man, that would be nice to add that kind of scoring punch,’” he added.

Multiple teams have reportedly expressed interest in the 27-year-old forward, who is having a career year with the Nets.

Porter is averaging a career-high 25.4 points per game this season while shooting 49.4% from the field and 40.4% from three-point range. He is also contributing 7.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game in 33 minutes of action.
