The team’s head coach, Charles Lee, revealed after Sunday’s practice that Knueppel has been diagnosed with a right ankle sprain and is currently considered day-to-day.
“As of right now, it’s a right ankle sprain, and we’ll work day-to-day to see how he responds to treatment,” the coach said via Jeremy Grandison.
Knueppel has been one of the most impressive rookies this season, posting strong numbers throughout his first 31 games.
The 20-year-old forward is averaging 19.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 42.8% from three-point range for the Hornets.
