Nottingham Forest will naturally do some business during the January transfer window, with emphasis likely to be placed on outgoing deals.
Arnaud Kalimuendo has been linked with a move away from the City Ground, and he might not be the only player who departs the club next month.
Forest have told three players they can leave in the January window, and ultimately it’s looking like being a busy time once again for the Reds.
Now, reports are emerging that another squad player is being linked with a move away from Forest and given a lack of game time, there could be something in it.

Chelsea want Forest player James McAtee
According to the Daily Mail, Forest could allow McAtee to leave in January, with Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca keen to reunite with the player, having worked with him at Manchester City.
It’s claimed that five clubs are keen to sign McAtee, with the player growing concerned over a lack of game time at the City Ground.
McAtee was once again an unused substitute against Manchester City, and he’s been unable to shift Morgan Gibbs-White out of the Forest team.
The youngster has had some game time in recent Europa League games, but ultimately, he’s not been given a proper runout in the Premier League.

Forest should keep McAtee
It’s not been easy for McAtee so far at Forest, but ultimately, he will want to be playing regular football during the second half of the campaign.
The 23-year-old looks set for a bright future, and maybe further down the line, he can become a hit with Forest if he can manage to get some minutes on the pitch.
It will be interesting to see what Forest decides to do with McAtee, as the club won’t want the squad to be weakened, but the player’s desire to play regularly might prove decisive.
McAtee is a handy player, but he’s not had the chance to truly express himself just yet at Forest but there is a sense that letting him leave to a divisional rival could prove a bad decision.
