Manchester United’s current squad could have looked very different with some of the world’s biggest stars playing for the Red Devils - had they listened to former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
The Red Devils have improved this season under Ruben Amorim but are still a way off from dominating English football and becoming the force they were under Sir Alex Ferguson.
They might have been closer to getting back to where they want to be had they heeded the transfer advice of club legend Solskjær. The Norwegian spent 11 years at Old Trafford as player and retired at the club.
He then spent just shy of three years in charge of the club as manager, as he took charge of 168 matches before being sacked in November 2021. According to the Daily Mail, Solskjaer wanted to sign three players currently among the best in the world but was instead given Jadon Sancho, Donny van de Beek and a 36-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo.
