Los Angeles enters Sunday’s game with a 19-10 record after losing at home to the Houston Rockets on Thursday night in their Christmas Day matchup.

In Thursday’s loss to the Rockets, Luka Doncic led the way for the Lakers as he recorded 25 points, five rebounds and seven assists while LeBron James added 18 points and five assists of his own.

Now Los Angeles will try to bounce back at home on Sunday as they face off against a struggling Kings team.

On the other side, Sacramento enters Sunday’s contest with an 8-23 record after defeating the Dallas Mavericks at home on Saturday night.

Russell Westbrook led the way for the Kings in Saturday’s victory as he ended the game with 21 points, five rebounds and nine assists while Maxime Raynaud recorded 19 points and six rebounds.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Sunday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

For the Kings, they have five players listed on their injury report, including three of their starters in Zach LaVine, Domantas Sabonis and Keegan Murray.

Sacramento has ruled out LaVine once again as he continues to recover from an ankle sprain.

The Kings have also ruled out Sabonis as he continues to be sidelined with a partially torn meniscus while Murray has been ruled out due to a right calf strain.

With these three players sidelined, DeMar DeRozan and Westbrook will likely continue to carry the load offensively while Keon Ellis and Raynaud may continue to have larger roles as well.

Drew Eubanks has also been ruled out with a thumb injury while Devin Carter remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

On the other side, the Lakers have three players listed on their injury report, including both Austin Reaves and Jaxson Hayes.

Los Angeles has ruled out Reaves due to a left calf strain as he is expected to miss at least four weeks due to the injury.

With Reaves sidelined, Marcus Smart, Dalton Knecht and Nick Smith Jr. may be in line for larger roles moving forward while the Lakers will likely rely on Doncic and James to carry the load for them offensively.

The Lakers have also ruled out Gabe Vincent as he remains sidelined while recovering from a lumbar back strain while Hayes is listed as doubtful and is not expected to play due to left ankle soreness.
