Giannis Antetokounmpo draws sarcastic shot from Bulls star after Bucks star’s controversial move

Giannis Antetokounmpo found himself in the middle of a minor controversy in just his first game back from a calf injury. During the final seconds of Saturday’s game against the Chicago Bulls, the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player and with the Bucks with a comfortable lead, Antetokounmpo decided to show off his hops, as he went for a windmill throwdown.

That did not sit well with the Chicago Bulls, and Bulls star big man Nikola Vucevic tried to voice it out with a sarcastic postgame remark.

“I’m assuming Giannis was mad about that report that came out the Bulls didn’t want to trade for him,” Vucevic said in the locker room following the game (h/tWill Gottlieb of CHGO Bulls).

Bulls guard Coby White also weighed in.

“He shouldn’t have dunked the ball,” White said, perK.C. Johnson of CHGO Bulls. “It’s disrespectful to the game. I said, ‘Bro, you’re better than that.’ The game is over with. Why you gotta do that? It’s a respect thing.”

Antetokounmpo surely had ruffled some feathers over the side of the Bulls with his dunk, but in any case, the Bucks had the last laugh in the contest, as they came away with a 112-103 victory to improve to 13-19 in the 2025-26 NBA regular season.

Antetokounmpo racked up 29 points on 10-for-15 shooting from the floor with eight rebounds, and assist, a block and a steal in just 25 minutes of action, while Ryan Rollins scored 20 points with five 3-pointers in the win against Chicago.

The Bucks will next face the Charlotte Hornets on the road this Monday.
