The Clippers became the first NBA team in almost 10 years to field four starters aged 34 or above in a single game.
The Los Angeles Clippers have gone full vintage on Sunday night by rolling one of the league's oldest starting groups.
Facing the Detroit Pistons, the team has operated a lineup of Kris Dunn, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, Nicolas Batum and Brook Lopez.
According to Clippers reporter Justin Russo, this marks the first time that an NBA team has started at least four players aged 34 years or older since 2016.
At age 31, Dunn stands as the youngest of the Clippers' starting five. Both Batum and Lopez are the oldest at 37.
As such, nearly a decade ago, the four of Vince Carter, Matt Barnes, Zach Randolph, and Chris Andersen headlined the old starting lineup for the Memphis Grizzlies, with Mike Conley being the youngest.
The Clippers (30.7 years) have the oldest average player age in the NBA this 2025-26 season.
They will aim to extend their win skid to four by beating the Eastern Conference-leading Pistons this weekend.
