Although Chelsea remain open to making new signings in January, departures are likely to be the focus of their attention when the transfer window opens again.
They hope to find homes, at least temporarily for the members of their so-called “bomb squad”/ Defender Axel Disasi has been linked with a move back to Ligue 1 and Lyon, whilst there are several Premier League clubs interested in Raheem Sterling.
Meanwhile, another winger, Tyrique George, who has become frustrated with his lack of first-team opportunities, wants to leave the club. He almost joined Fulham in the summer, and this time he could move across West London, although Crystal Palace are also a possibility.
And longer-term they are ready to listen to offers for Nicolas Jackson, with his loan to Bayern Munich unlikely to become a permanent deal.
