**Ex-Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf believes Estevao has the potential to become “one of the top players in the world”.**
The Brazilian has impressed since moving to Stamford Bridge back in August and [**Leboeuf**](https://chelseanews.com/blog/chelsea-transfer-news-mike-maignan-leboeuf/) says he has liked what he seen from the teenager:
“I wish him the best. He seems to have a good head on top of the skills. Chelsea seem to be protecting him as well. He is young and you don’t want to launch him, I don’t think he is ready for that.”
“He is a low-profile kind of guy, but loves showing off when he scores a goal. He wants to take on players. I love the guy, but he is still raw. We have to be patient and make sure that he matures the way he needs to, to become one of the top players in the world.”
Estevao has settled in quicker than anyone expected

While many knew that the Brazilian was a massive talent before his arrival at Stamford Bridge, it was still felt that it would take him some time to adapt to a new league and a new country, especially at the age of 18.
However, Estevao’s return of 5 goals from 22 appearances is pretty decent, especially when you also consider he has started just 10 times for the Blues.
Chelsea will recruit another young winger next summer

The London club have really set themselves up for the future, not only by signing Estevao, but by securing the services of Geovany Quenda – another 18-year-old.
While the Portuguese Under 21 international was snapped up earlier this year, the agreement with his club Sporting Lisbon meant that he will only move to England next summer.
Between them, the pair have the potential to excel on the wings for many years to come at Chelsea.
