Anthony Edwards speaks out after fans boo Timberwolves

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards addressed fans’ frustration after Minnesota’s 123-107 home loss to the Brooklyn Nets. Following boos from the crowd, Edwards admitted the team lacked energy and said he understood the reaction.

Minnesota Timberwolves fell to the Brooklyn Nets 107-123 at Target Center, and frustration was clear among fans and players alike.

After another home loss, supporters voiced their displeasure by booing the team following the final buzzer. Star guard Anthony Edwards addressed the fans’ reaction in a candid interview.

“We got boo’d and s*** by the fans today, I’m with the fans, I would have boo’d us too, but yeah, lack of energy. I don’t know what’s going on, I guess this is just Timberwolves basketball,” Edwards said.

Edwards played 35 minutes and led the team with 28 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Julius Randle also made an impact, posting a double-double with 13 points, 11 assists, and three rebounds.

Despite their efforts, the Timberwolves could not overcome the Nets, who executed well down the stretch.

Brooklyn received standout performances from Michael Porter Jr., who recorded 27 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists in 33 minutes, and Cam Thomas, who scored 30 points with four assists and three rebounds.

Minnesota currently sits sixth in the Western Conference with a 20-12 record.
