Chelsea Injury News And Return Dates: Updates On Marc Cucurella, Jorrel Hato&3 Others

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Marc Cucurella was substituted against Aston Villa at the weekend due to concerns about his hamstring.

Speaking in his post-match press conference regarding why the Spanish international was taken off with 20 minutes to go, Maresca replied:

“He was complaining about his hamstring, so we don’t know if it’s an injury now or not do he asked for the change.”

With the Bournemouth game coming up on Tuesday night, Cucurella faces a race against time to be fit for the fixture.

Expected Return Date – Unknown

Jorrel Hato

The Dutchman picked up a muscular injury in a warm-up at halftime during the 2-2 draw against Newcastle last week.

Hato had been named on the substitutes bench for the trip to St James’ Park but he was subsequently ruled out for the Villa fixture.

There is no indication as to when defender will make his comeback, although Maresca will be hoping he is not out for too long, considering the concerns about Cucurella’s fitness.
