The January transfer window is almost upon us and for Liverpool, they might be very active.
The Reds have a few areas that they still need to sort out if they stand a chance of winning anything this season, so fans can expect some action very soon.
However, despite needing reinforcements, there could still be a few players who could force a move due to the need for some game time.

In fact, there is one star in particular who may have played his last game for Liverpool at the weekend, with the odds of him succeeding at Anfield starting to stack against him.
Federico Chiesa might have played his last game for Liverpool
Fans had been calling for Federico Chiesa to be given more chances from the start all season, with the Italian getting that opportunity against Wolves on Saturday.
However, he failed to impress and was really quiet throughout, failing to take a big chance when he was finally offered it despite being ‘exceptional’ off the bench at points this season.

As well as this, Jeremie Frimpong is back from injury and looks like he might be preferred at right wing instead of Chiesa, with the same happening on the left with Cody Gakpo.

Dominik Szoboszlai, who has also played on the right many times this season, is back from suspension and is expected to go straight back into the team, moving the Italian very far down the pecking order once again.
With 2026 being a World Cup year, this suggests Chiesa simply now has to go if he is to have a chance of being selected as he simply will not get the minutes needed at Anfield with the options they have.
Liverpool will be reluctant to sell, but given how loved he is at the club and how hard he works, allowing him to go if he is really forceful might be the right choice.

Liverpool are in need of attacking reinforcements, so it might seem counter-intuitive to say that Liverpool would allow one to leave in January.
However, if he is really keen to depart, the Reds might just allow it if they sign one or multiple replacements.
Someone like Antoine Semenyo could allow Chiesa to leave given that the Ghanaian can play on both flanks, although he seems likely to join Man City at this moment in time.
The Reds will have other names on the shortlist, though, so fans should not be surprised if rumours regarding others start to accelerate soon, but if they do, they will likely have to say goodbye to Chiesa one final time.
