Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl has missed consecutive games with a lower back strain but is expected to follow a rehab plan aiming for a mid-January return.
Toronto Raptors starting center Jakob Poeltl has missed the team's last three games with a lower back strain.
Toronto Raptors / Schedule
Michael Grange of Sportsnet reported that the injury should not be severe, and the Raptors are expected to make an official announcement on Monday.
"Not expecting anything ominous," Grange reported on X. "Condition considered 'annoying' mainly. My understanding is an ongoing rehab plan with an eye on mid-January return. The goal is to have Poeltl's day-to-day availability more certain than it has been."
Poeltl, 30, has played in 21 games this season, averaging 9.7 points and 7.7 rebounds in 25.3 minutes. This is his sixth season with Toronto.
